2. What led you to start writing?
I’ve always written, be it bad poetry or short stories.
3. How long did it take you to write your book?
I wrote it in a little over a month which blew my own mind.
4. Tell us a little about your writing process and what your typical day as a writer looks like?
I would sit at the computer hoping for a couple hundred words, look up and realized I’d written 3000. I’d turn on Twin Atlantic (a Scottish band) on Pandora and get to it.
5. What do you hope people take away from your book?
I hope people enjoy my book and want to know what happens next in that world.
6. What do you do when you are not writing?
When I am not writing I am usually reading or working but work is dull so I’d rather read.
7. What’s your biggest book pet peeve?
Biggest book pet peeve? Not explaining a character fully by the end of the book. Why yes Joe was angry and we get it but he’s the romantic lead…so why is he angry.
8. What is your favorite love story (book or movie)?
My favorite love story? Claire and Jamie from Outlander or Harmony and Reaper from Laramie Briscoe’s Rockin’ Country series.
9. What was the last book added to your “favorites” list?
These Broken Stars by Aime Kaufman – amazing read.
10. Tell us 3 random facts about yourself.
Three random facts about myself? I am a huge Anglophile and call Prince Harry “Prince Sexy Hot Ginge.” I have 6 tattoos, including a teapot and a cat. I love music and feel like my life should have a soundtrack but I listen to everything from Ed Sheeran to dubstep and rock. I do not like Taylor Swift, Rihanna or Coldplay.
Vanessa Noble is a lifelong writer, first time novelist. Learning to read at the age of 4, from the pages of Cosmo magazine, inspired a lifelong love of the written word. After a questionable start with bad poetry as a teenager adult Vanessa decided short stories were the way to go before a fateful viewing of Doctor Who made her want to write something set in the United Kingdom.
Vanessa is a collector of cats and kids, of which she has 3 each. She lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband, his awesome mother, and their menagerie of kids and cats. When she isn’t writing she loves to spend her time reading and watching television, daydreaming of an extended vacation to the United Kingdom or trying to convince her husband that they need more cats, after all her oldest kiddo will be gone to college soon.
